Stockbridge Pre-school aims to: • Provide high quality care and education for children primarily below statutory school age: • To use a high ratio of adults to children ensuring generous care and attention. • To keep parents informed on the aims of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and our role in the democratic decision making of the charity. • To meet children's individual needs with a full, varied and balanced curriculum through a team of experienced and qualified staff members in consultation with parents; • Provide a happy, secure, rich and varied learning environment, • Provide the widest possible opportunities for children to develop educationally, physically, socially and emotionally; • Value each child as an individual leading to a sense of personal worth and respect for self and others; • To involve parents in the management of their pre-school; • Work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop; • Develop and maintain close links with the catchment area schools thus easing children's progression into Full time education; • To keep parents informed on the aims of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and our role in the democratic decision making of the charity; • Add to the life and well being of its local community; and • Offer children and their parents a service which promotes equality and values diversity. As a member of Stockbridge Pre-school, your child: • Is in a safe and stimulating environment; • Is given generous care and attention, because of our high ratio of adults to children; • Has the chance to join with other children and adults to live, play, work and learn together; • Is helped to take forward his/her learning and development by being helped to build on what she/he already knows and can do; • Has a personal key person who makes sure your child makes satisfactory progress; • Is in a pre-school which sees you as a partner in helping your child to learn and develop; and • Is in a pre-school in which parents help to shape the service it offers. • Is in a pre-school which provides care and education for young children from 2 years 6 months. |
